Back in February, a team of reviewers from SACS spent 2 days with our school – students, parents and teachers – at the end of which we were notified that they would be recommending us for their seal of approval.

What does this mean? Accreditation is a voluntary method of quality assurance in public and private education. We are also accredited by the Georgia Accreditation Commission (GAC – http://www.coe.uga.edu/gac/). Accreditation from the SACS association means that we are recognized as adhering to their stringent guidelines and that we are committed to continuous improvement. It also means that a highly respected non-governmental agency which is responsible for the accreditation of many of our best schools agrees that we are among the best. You might be asking yourself, what are the benefits to my children? The SACS website has this response:
